Job Description: As a QA Executive at DSM-Firmenich, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, processes, and quality systems to deliver exceptional quality and services to our customers. You will possess a deep understanding of food safety, chemical, and microbiology aspects, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, manufacturing teams, marketing, and other relevant functions. Your responsibilities will encompass managing vendor and customer audits in line with DSM quality standards, complying with industry regulations such as FSSAI, FSMS FSSC22000, HALAL, and KOSHER, and ensuring the timely provision of customer quality documents. You will also be responsible for resolving QA-related compliance issues, overseeing raw material qualification and tracking, and actively participating in audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in QA/QC Documentation, Quality Management, process, and cleaning validation.
- Management of vendor/customer audits to meet DSM quality standards, including compliance with FSSAI, FSMS FSSC22000, GMP, HALAL, and KOSHER requirements.
- Handling post-operational activities, including mock recalls, returned products, and complaint resolution.
- Timely appraisal of product quality deviations and initiation of corrective/preventive actions.
- Collaborating with Marketing, Regulatory Department, and Customers as needed for technical and regulatory support.
- Preparation and review of compliance documents such as SOPs, Specifications, MOCs, deviations, and reports.
- Qualification document preparation related to Quality instruments.
- Assisting the QA Manager in conducting new vendor audits for raw materials and packaging materials, as well as customer/regulatory audits.
- Monitoring the implementation of QA systems, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP guidelines, and other quality-related policies and SOPs.
- Site internal and external vendor audit responsibilities.
- Handling customer complaints, CCR (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, and CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) implementation.
- Ensuring compliance with quality organization requirements for SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment), GMPs, ISO, FDA, FSSAI, FSSC, HACCP, HALAL, KOSHER, and other relevant regulations.
- Oversight of manufacturing operations and control, including cross-contamination prevention and packaging specification checks.
- Verification of performance methodologies and equipment validation.
- Assisting the QA Manager in maintaining the integrated ISO Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP system.
- Preparation and review of RM/PM (Raw Material/Packaging Material) Specifications and implementation.
- Handling customer qualification and regulatory documentation.
- Leading mock recalls, both globally and locally.
- Fulfilling any additional tasks assigned by the Quality Manager to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: B. Tech in Food Technology/B.Sc/M.Sc. in Chemistry/Microbiology.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the food industry, including audit field and RMPM (Raw Material and Packaging Material) qualification experience.
