Location: Mandideep, Bhopal

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Officer/ Executive QA to join our team in Mandideep, Bhopal. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the quality and safety standards of our day-to-day operations at the Mandideep plant. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Quality Control:
    • Conduct periodic inspection and analysis of a variety of products, including beverages, fruit drinks, juices, soymilks, ketchups, and instant tea & coffee premixes.
    • Analyze online blend samples and finished products for physicochemical and sensory parameters.
    • Perform checks on finished goods during packing operations.
    • Monitor and analyze the water treatment plant, including coagulation water and RO water.
    • Verify records related to quality and food safety.
    • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
    • Conduct customer complaint analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Timely reporting of non-conformances observed during operations.
    • Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in blending and packing operations.
    • Collaborate with the production team to resolve operational issues and facilitate SAP release and data reporting.
  2. Routine Audits:
    • Conduct weekly and monthly audits, including PHC, GMP, and Super six audits.
    • Oversee the execution of all internal audits for the Mandideep plant.
    • Track and review audit documentation, including FFSC, QMS standards, and SOPs.
    • Identify and address risks and hazards related to quality.
  3. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs for the plant based on product and quality requirements.
    • Oversee internal training sessions and ensure they are conducted as per the schedule.
    • Plan and conduct regular training sessions on quality parameters and guidelines.
    • Measure training effectiveness and make improvements as needed.
  4. Process Improvements:
    • Stay informed about industry best practices in quality assurance and testing.
    • Review plant operations regularly to identify opportunities for improvement and reduction in consumer complaints.
    • Present improvement opportunities to the supervisor and assign initiatives to the team.
    • Actively participate in pilot projects and communicate initiatives to other departments.
  5. Personal Capability Development:
    • Take ownership of your training and development plan.
    • Work under the supervision of the QRC Head to achieve continuous growth.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • FSSAI & FSSC compliance
  • Audit non-compliance
  • Global quality food safety audit
  • PHC, Super six audit compliance
  • Reduction in customer complaints

Minimum Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of technology fundamentals
  • Deep understanding of food safety and quality
  • Understanding of FMCG business and financial concepts
  • Experience in Project Quality Assurance, Process Quality, Supplier Technical Assurance, Quality Management Systems, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with co-manufacturing handling preferred

Skills:

  • Hands-on knowledge of handling and calibration of analytical instruments.
  • Experience in chemical analysis of food and beverages.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Standards and their application in large-scale manufacturing and packing environments.
  • Exposure to FSSAI and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in statistical tools and their applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound administrator with excellent computer skills.
  • Knowledge of the latest best practices in quality management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various functions across the organization.
  • Experience in handling global clients with strong leadership skills and team management.
  • Demonstrated change management abilities, including conflict resolution skills.

Education:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Food/Dairy Technology, Microbiology, or Chemistry

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality/Manufacturing functions in the food & beverage industry of good repute.
