Position Overview:
Job Title: Assistant Manager Innovation (NPD) Location: Taloja, Navi Mumbai
As an Assistant Manager of Innovation (NPD), you will play a crucial role in our Research & Development (R&D) team. You will be responsible for driving innovation, leading new product development (NPD) initiatives, ensuring product quality and safety, and complying with regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role that requires a passion for food innovation, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Product Development (NPD): Lead and oversee the end-to-end process of new product development, from conceptualization to commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative food products to market.
- Ideation and Innovation: Generate creative ideas and concepts for new food products, enhancements, and improvements. Stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences to drive innovation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality and safety by implementing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and other quality assurance measures throughout the NPD process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all NPD activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines. Stay informed about changes in food regulations and make necessary adjustments.
- Project Management: Effectively manage NPD projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality control, and marketing.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct product testing and validation to ensure that new products meet quality, taste, and safety standards. Make necessary adjustments based on test results.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to NPD activities, including formulations, processes, and results.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost optimization in the NPD process without compromising product quality and safety.
Qualifications:
- Post-graduation in Food Engineering (B Tech or M Tech) or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Research & Development, with a focus on NPD in the food processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food engineering principles, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and a passion for food innovation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with HACCP and quality assurance processes.
- Adherence to ethical and safety standards in food production.
