The Opportunity:

The Sr R&D Associate role at Unilever is instrumental in defining and maintaining the impeccable standards of raw materials and product specifications. These specifications form a cornerstone, ensuring that the products reaching our consumers are of unparalleled quality. While R&D takes ownership, these specifications serve as a contractual agreement between Unilever and our suppliers.

Main Job Purpose:

As a Fragrance Ingredient Specialist within the R&D Material Expert Team (MET), you will collaboratively work with the MET lead for fragrance, project teams, and Fragrance House partners. Your primary responsibility involves delivering precise specifications within set timelines, enabling seamless project implementation. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of all MET portfolios in Home Care.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Elevate fragrance specification quality standards.
  • Drive both automated and manual specification population processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Unilever Data Standards, Homecare quality, and HPC policy requirements.
  • Contribute to timely project delivery across global, regional, and local Home Care initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow Ingredient Specialists and the Fragrance MET lead.
  • Champion the development of new digital tools for alternative supplier approval.
  • Lead the specification cleansing initiative for data hygiene enhancement.

Key Job Factors:

Effective communication is the cornerstone of this role. You will communicate with precision and expertise in fragrance specifications, engaging project teams and Fragrance House partners.
