We are looking to hire a Senior Associate – Packaging/Assistant Manager – Packaging in our Packaging Development Team based in Gurgaon:
Job Purpose:
Packaging Engineer is responsible for Supporting the packaging projects ( cross functional team) to build a robust master plan to deliver the technical innovation pipe line in 3- 5 years vision with new technology for rigid plastics, new material sciences , new design outlook, design to value creation from day one , sustainability program. Supporting to deliver packaging innovation success criteria, follow review process, risk mitigation and overcoming technical challenges, coordinating with sites team and quality team to deliver the results which will help business to build top line or bottom line depending on project scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Need to manage end to end SAP related activity for trial execution and supporting all packaging projects Operate with discipline: Leveraging a disciplined but enabling approach to drive consistent results and process, anticipating action to come by forward planning, reviewing progress and seek help whenever needed with full accountability with full visibility to the packaging leadership team
- Collaboration and communication: need to collaborate with key core members and seeking input and navigating the project fully with cross functional team
- Risk taking: demonstrating calculated risk-taking ability with a rigor to maximize learning with minimum investment of people, money and time.
- Supporting fabricate and evaluate/assess a working package, equipment or product prototype/sample against technical requirements, fit to concept or performance specifications (e.g. functionality , mould design and qualification and operational feasibility and making robust plan accordingly
- Need to manage and complete ownership on packaging lab ( mechanical and functional lab)
- Capacity: demonstrating work load capability, mange priorities of multiple projects running across the business.

- Number of Indirect Reports-2
Knowledge/Education Required
- Minimum Level of Education Required- BSc or equivalent or IIP experience.
- Preferred Level of Education- master’s degree or other advanced degree or equivalent as evidenced by fellowship of professional organisation.
- Area of Specialization- Material Science, Packaging Technology, Plastic Processing, Engineering.
- Minimum Level of Job–Related Experience : Required-5-8 years of Experience Managing Packaging industrialization and development in one or more companies operating in Healthcare, Food and Beverage, ideally a multinational FMCG company.
The role has global remit but perhaps most importantly it must deliver products to a global consumer audience so an understanding of both consumers globally and supplier base globally will mean a truly global experience and mindset is required to perform effectively in this role.
